3D Ambiences

Spacious recordings using the vaunted Schoeps ORTF-3D Outdoor Set. This rig has 8 capsules time-aligned for spectacular spatial imaging. We think of it as having 2 Quads – a LOWER double-ORTF layer (L, R, Ls, Rs) and an UPPER double ORTF layer (L, R, Ls, Rs). This is perfect for mixing in Dolby ATMOS! Or, in 5.1, you can double up the Quads to test, but you still get the benefit of the sound captured “fomr above”.
